What is Stash?
Stash combines personal budgeting, expense tracking, credit-card planning and multi-currency support in an Android app. It can recognize transactions from supported banking-app notifications and optional Gmail transaction emails, then presents them for review.
Why Stash exists
Traditional expense trackers often demand repetitive entry. Direct bank aggregation is not available for every bank or country, and some users do not want another service connected to bank credentials. Many tools also report past spending without clearly separating committed, planned, reserved and actually spendable money.
How Stash is different
- Transaction recognition from Android bank notifications selected by the user.
- Optional read-only Gmail transaction import through Google OAuth.
- No requirement to provide online-banking credentials.
- Credit-card-aware budgeting for purchases, statement obligations and repayments.
- Home-currency planning with multi-currency records.
- Local encrypted storage for structured financial data and no advertising tracking.
